U-17 national football team reach SLanka

Dhaka, 13 Sept  -The Bangladesh U-17 national football team reached Sri Lanka aturday afternoon to take part in the 10th edition of SAFF U-17 Championship scheduled to be held in Colombo, Sri Lanka from September 15-27.

The Bangladesh team will hold their first training session Sunday, 
according to message received here from Bangladesh Football Federation this 
evening.

Seven South Asian nations -- Bangladesh, defending champions India, Pakistan, 
Bhutan, Nepal, Maldives host Sri Lanka --, split into two groups, will 
compete in the regional tournament.

Bangladesh has been pitted in Group A along with Nepal and Sri Lanka while 
the group B consists with India, Pakistan, Bhutan and Maldives.

Bangladesh will start their tournament campaign taking on Nepal on September 
18 and play their last group match against Sri Lanka on September 21.

The top two teams from each group will play the cross semifinals on September 
25 while the final of the championship is slated for September 27.

All the matches will be held at Racecourse ground in Colombo.BSS
