DHAKA - As Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) decided to bring back Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) and Bangladesh Championship League (BCL) on Wednesday (July 14), the Women’s Football League is also likely to resume from next week.
Talking to BSS today, BFF women’s wing chairman and FIFA council member Mahfuza Akter Kiron said they are thinking to bring back the women’s football league on the ground at the same time when the BPL and BCL resumes.
Earlier, on June 30 last, the BFF postponed the women’s football League matches till July 7, due to countrywide strict lockdown.
Holders Bashundhara Kings dominated the league table maintaining their all-win run in the league with 30 points from 10 matches while Ataur Rahman Bhuiyan is following the leaders closely with 27 points playing the same number of matches.
FC Brahmanbaria stands at third position at the league table with 18 points from 11 matches while Cumilla United is placed at fourth position with 15 points from the same number of outings.
Jamalpur Kacharipara Akadas have secured 13 points from 11 matches while Nasrin Sporting Club also collected 13 points from 10 outings.
Bottom-ranked Suddopuskorini Jubo Sporting Club have three points from 11 matches.
Kachijhuli Sporting Club has been omitted from the league as they have failed to play three matches in a row.
