Bangladesh meets Sri Lanka tomorrow

Dhaka, 25 Nov - Bangladesh U-17 national football team will take on Sri Lanka in their third Group A match of the 2026 AFC U-17 Asian Cup qualifiers at Tongliang Long Stadium in Chongqing, China, tomorrow.

The match kicks off at 12 pm Bangladesh time.

Prior to the match Bayzit Bostami through a video message today said they have two big challenges ahead which they prepared to face.

Bayzit, who scored two goals for Bangladesh in the last two matches, sought blessing to all so that the team can qualify for the final round of the Asian Cup.   

Earlier, Bangladesh made flying start in the tournament crushing Timor-Leste by 5-0 goals in opening group A match and thrashed Brunei by 8-0 goals in their second.

Bangladesh will play their remaining group matches against Bahrain on November 28 host China on November 30.

Seven group champions will secure places in the 16-team finals, joining hosts Saudi Arabia and eight other nations who have already qualified for the 2025 FIFA U-17 World Cup.BSS
