OIC Condemns Deadly Terrorist Attack on Benin Army

Jeddah, 12 January, 2025 - The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemns the deadly terrorist attack on a Benin army position in the northern region of the country on January 10, 2025, which tragically claimed the lives of around twenty individuals and left several others injured.

The Secretary-General of the OIC, H.E. Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha, described the attack as cowardly and reprehensible, and called for an end to these heinous acts. He reaffirmed the OIC's full solidarity with the Benin authorities in their efforts to combat terrorism.

The Secretary-General also extended his condolences to the families of the victims, the government, and the people of Benin, and wished the injured a swift recovery. – OIC News
