Land Minister Mizanur Rahman Minu was taken to Dhaka for advanced treatment today after falling ill and being admitted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH).

The minister's Assistant Private Secretary (APS) Nazmul Haque Dicken confirmed the matter.

He was taken by ambulance to Shah Makhdum Airport around 8am and flown to Dhaka for treatment at Bangladesh Medical University (PG).

His Assistant Private Secretary Nazmul Haque Dicken said the minister had been unwell for several days. His condition deteriorated on Wednesday, and he received three bags of blood at RMCH before being transferred to Dhaka.

The minister has sought prayers from people across the country for his speedy recovery.
