Ex State Minister Kamal hospitalised from jail

Former State Minister for Industries Kamal Ahmed Majumder, who is currently an under-trial prisoner at Keraniganj Central Jail, was admitted to hospital after falling ill on Thursday night.


Prison guard Billal stated that Majumder, detainee number 36040/24, complained of chest pain around 7:30 pm. He has a history of diabetes, high blood pressure, and other health issues.

Subsequently, prison authorities took him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital at arround 9:30 pm, where he received treatment in the CCU of the new building.

Later, he was transferred to the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar for advanced care, reports UNB.
