BNP standing committee member Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain today said the physical condition of BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia is now stable.

"Madam's (Khaleda Zia) overall condition is stable now. Her condition has improved compared to when she was admitted to the hospital," Dr. Zahid told journalists after placing a floral wreath at the grave of BNP Founder Shaheed President Ziaur rahman along with the leaders and activists of Diploma Association of Bangladesh in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar in the city.

Dr. Zahid added Khaleda Zia will return home after other necessary medical tests and following her medical board's decision.

The BNP Chairperson was admitted to Evercare Hospital on Wednesday night for her routine health check-ups.

Seventy-nine-year-old Khaleda Zia has long been suffering from various health complications, including arthritis, diabetes, kidney, lung, and eye issues, reports BSS.
