Exhibition 'Harmony of Healing' to open at AFD on Monday

Exhibits to be on display at the exhibition on Harmony of Healing at AFD from Nov 25.



The opening of 'Harmony of Healing', a unique exhibition featuring traditional and innovative musical instruments from the region, presented by Mohammad Jakir Hossain will be held at Alliance Française, Dhaka invites on Monday, 25 November 2024 at 6 pm at La Galerie, Alliance Française de Dhaka.

Jakir Hossain, born in 1994 in Gaibandha, Bangladesh, studied music in Kolkata from 2016 to 2022, learning various forms including Indian classical, Bengali folk, Tagore song and modern music. After returning to Bangladesh, he explored music’s impact on humanism and healing. Jakir founded ‘Obokalpo’ in 2018, focusing on preserving and developing traditional and experimental music while nurturing art and culture in vulnerable regions of Bangladesh.

The exhibition will be open to all till Friday, 29 November 2024.
