Chief Adviser paid tributed to martyrs of the War of Independence at the National Memorial on Wednesday 26 March 2025



Dhaka, Mar 26 - Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus paid tributes to the martyrs of Liberation War at the National Memorial in Savar Wednesday morning, marking the Independence and the National Day.

After placing the wreaths, the Chief Adviser stood there in solemn silence for some time as a mark of profound respect to the memories of the martyrs of the Liberation War.

A smartly turned-out contingent drawn from Bangladesh Army, Navy and Air Force presented a state salute on the occasion, while the bugles played the last post.

In an message issued on the occasion, , Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus said the interim government is fully committed to further developing and strengthening the country and delivering the full benefits of independence to  people.

 “We are working to establish good governance and justice to ensure people-orientated and sustainable development, and ensure transparency and accountability through necessary reforms in all spheres of the state.”

He also urged all to take the oath to work for the development, peace and prosperity of the country, keeping in mind the spirit of the great liberation war. - UNB
