E-ticketing system launched at National Burn Institute

Health and Family Welfare Minister Sardar Md. Sakhawat Husain formally inaugurated the digital service this morning.

S M Ziauddin Hyder, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (status of State Minister), Health affairs, attended the inauguration ceremony. They later visited the institute and observed the operation of the newly introduced system.

Speaking on the occasion, the health minister said patients previously had to arrive at the hospital very early in the morning and wait in long queues to collect OPD tickets. The newly introduced e-ticketing system would significantly reduce such sufferings and enable patients to receive treatment more quickly and in a more orderly manner.

According to the institute, patients will need to complete online registration only once to use the e-ticketing system. After the initial registration, their information will be securely stored for future visits, eliminating the need to provide the same information repeatedly.

The system will also preserve patients’ previous hospital visit records and treatment history, helping physicians provide faster, more accurate and effective medical care, reports BSS.

The modern patient-friendly service has been implemented under the initiative of the institute’s Director, Professor Dr. Mohammad Nasir Uddin.
