
The Health Services Division of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare issued an order in this regard on Sept 16 through its Government Health Management-1 branch.
The order, signed by Deputy Secretary Kazi Sharif Uddin Ahmed, approved increasing the hospital's bed capacity and launching services with the additional beds.
According to the order, the administrative approval was given following the concurrence of the Finance Division and subject to compliance with all relevant rules, regulations, formalities and procedures.
The order said all relevant rules, regulations and formalities must be properly followed in launching services with the additional beds.
The National Institute of Cancer Research and Hospital is an important specialised government institution for the treatment of cancer patients in the country, reports BSS.
