Chinese labour dies of stroke due to cold in Kalapara

Patuakhali: A Chinese labor named Ren Zheng (39) died of stroke due to cold in Kalapara under Patuakhali district. On Monday around 9 am, when he fell ill while taking goods to RNPCL thermal power plant. Later he was rescued and brought to the Upazila Health Complex, where the doctor on duty declared him dead. As the minimum temperature in that area is 10.8 degrees Celsius, the doctor on duty thinks that he may have died due to cold.

In this regard interpreter Nurul Islam said that he fell ill and died in the auto-rickshaw while taking goods from one thermal store to another in an auto-rickshaw.

Kalapara Police Station OC Md. Ali Ahmed said, according to doctors, he died of stroke due to cold. - UNB
