Govt. plans for two more hospitals in Ctg: Nurjahan

Health Adviser Nurjahan Begum has said plans are underway to build two separate hospitals in Hathazari and Karnaphuli areas.

 
“Besides, there are plans to build a dental college and a dental hospital in Kalurghat area,” she said at a programme at Chattogram circuit house here today.

Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus also joined the programme while officials briefed him on city’s Water logging problem and Development of Oxygen-Hathazari Highway.

Nurjahan said to ensure proper healthcare, plans are underway to build two hospitals in Hathazari and Karnaphuli areas.

Patients from the Rangamati-Kaptai will get health services at Hathazari Hospital and while patients from the Patiya-Satkania-Chandanaish area will get services at Karnaphuli Hospital, she added.

Interim government’s advisers Prof. Dr. Chowdhury Rafiqul Abrar, Farida Akhter and Faruk-e-Azam, Chief Adviser’s Special Envoy Lutfey Siddiqi, Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) Executive Chairman Chowdhury Ashik Mahmud Bin Harun, Principal Coordinator for SDG Affairs Lamiya Morshed were present, among others, reports BSS.
