99 beneficiaries receive housing grant, tin in Kalapara

Housing grant and tin were distributed amonh 99 beneficiaries in Kalapara on Thursday.

Patuakhali: 215 bundles of tin and check of taka 6 lakh 45 thousand have been distributed among 99 beneficiaries from Prime Minister's Relief Fund in Kalapara of Patuakhali.

On Thursday (February 1) at 11 am in Kalapara Upazila Parishad ground, Fatema Akhter Rekha, wife of State Minister of Disaster Management and Relief Ministry and convenor of Upazila Mahila Awami League, was present as the chief guest and distributed checks and  tin.

Earlier, Municipal Mayor Bipul Chandra Howladar, Upazila Awami League General Secretary Bir Muktijoddha Abdul Motaleb Talukder among others spoke in the program under the chairmanship of Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md Jahangir Hossain.

According to the sources of Disaster Management and Relief Directorate, this grant is allocated from the Prime Minister's Relief Fund for distribution among the victims of natural disasters and fires. - UNB
