Free seeds, fertilizer distributed among cyclone affected small farmers

Patuakhali: Free Ropa Aman paddy seeds and chemical fertilizers have been distributed among the small and marginal farmers affected by Cyclone 'Remal' in Kalapara of Patuakhali under 'Some Needs Programme'.

At 5:30 pm on Thursday, 5 kg of seeds and 20 kg of fertilizer were distributed to 1,890 farmers in the upazila agriculture office auditorium.

Upazila Executive Officer Rabiul Islam presided over the function as the chief guest, Upazila Parishad Chairman Bir Muktijodha Abdul Motaleb Talukdar.

Upazila Agriculture Officer Agriculturist Arafat Hossain, Vice Chairman Yusuf Ali, Female Vice Chairman Shahina Parveen Seema, Pace Club President Md. Humayun Kabir were present at that time. – Gofran Biswas Palash
