State Minister of Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications, and Information Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak said that he expects to know by 11am Wednesday when the restriction on Facebook and other social media services can be lifted.

Accordingly he will make an announcement after 11am tomorrow (July 31).
He said this after a meeting on Tuesday afternoon.
He mentioned that YouTube has agreed to respond to BTRC's letter.
“However, Facebook and other institutions have not yet responded. There is time until 11am tomorrow, reports UNB.
After reviewing everything and holding a meeting, we will be able to announce the decision regarding the reopening of social media,” he added.
