Internet users in Bangladesh may face slowdowns or interruptions on Saturday, September 28, due to scheduled maintenance on the SEA-ME-WE 5 submarine cable in Kuakata.

The maintenance is set to take place from 2 AM to 6 AM, with a partial closure of circuits connected to SEA-ME-WE 5 during this time, as stated by the Bangladesh Submarine Cable Company Limited (BSCCL).

Fortunately, circuits linked to the country’s first submarine cable, SEA-ME-WE 4, based in Cox's Bazar, will remain fully operational. Users are advised to plan accordingly.
