Idol damaged in Satkhira temple

Unidentified miscreants damaged an idol of Hindu goddess Kali at a temple at Bhurulia Nagbati village in Shyamnagar upazila on Friday night.
Bamal Mitra, founder of the temple, said a gang of unidentified miscreants stormed the family temple, Basontani Puja Mandir, at the village at some time in the night and damaged the idol of goddess Kali.The incident came to light early in the morning when the family members went to the temple.On information, police visited the spot.Sagir Miah, officer-in-charge of Shyamnagar Police Station, said they were investigating the incident.A case was filed in this connection. -UNB, Satkhira
