DHAKA – The Inter-district Poomsae Taekwondo competition began today at the national sports council gymnasium maintaining the government’s heath protocol, a Bangladesh Taekwondo Federation (BTF) press release said today.
Walton High-tech Industries Limited executive director and head of the department (games and sports) FM Iqbal Bin Anwar formally inaugurated the three-day meet as the chief guest.
BTF president Morshed Hossain Kamal, BTF general secretary Mahmudul Islam Rana and BTF joint general secretary Saidur Rahman Swapan, among others, were present in the opening ceremony of the competition, sponsored by Walton High-tech Industries Limited.
The competition will be held in twelve categories with the participants will fight for thirty six gold and silver, and an equal number of bronze medals.
A total of six clubs along with Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Ansar and Border Guard Bangladesh and two hundred poomsae participants from fourteen districts across the country are taking part in the meet, by the supervision of BTF.BSS
