The 25th session of the United Nations Committee of Experts on Public Administration (CEPA) began on Monday at UN Headquarters, bringing together global governance experts, policymakers and civil society representatives to discuss reforms aimed at strengthening public institutions and rebuilding public trust.

Raju Lama, International President of the SAARC Journalist Forum, attended the high-level session in New York, taking part in discussions on governance, transparency and institutional development.

The session is focusing on improving public administration systems, enhancing accountability and accelerating progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through stronger multilateral cooperation and innovative governance practices.

Experts stressed the need for inclusive policymaking, digital transformation and renewed trust between governments and citizens as key priorities in the current global landscape.

The meeting will continue throughout the week, featuring thematic panels and policy discussions to support UN member states in strengthening governance frameworks and institutional resilience.
