
G7 leaders have welcomed the agreement between the United States and Iran, describing it as a breakthrough and a rare opportunity to prevent Tehran from developing nuclear weapons.
They said they support the deal and are prepared to assist in its implementation. The leaders also called for the free passage of shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, without restrictions or tolls, and urged a strong and comprehensive follow-up diplomatic agreement to ensure lasting peace and security in the region.
On Lebanon, the G7 expressed support for an immediate and robust ceasefire, along with efforts by the Lebanese state to disarm Hezbollah.
On the situation in Palestine, the leaders pledged to accelerate humanitarian aid and reconstruction efforts in Gaza, alongside the implementation of relevant political and security measures. They also called for an end to ongoing violence in the West Bank.
