OIC Secy-Gen Condoles Afghanistan Earthquake Deaths

Jeddah, 01-09-2025 - The Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), H.E. Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha, extended his heartfelt condolences to Afghanistan following the devastating earthquake that struck Kunar Province in eastern Afghanistan, which, according to reports, has claimed hundreds of lives and left many others injured.

The Secretary-General affirmed the OIC’s solidarity with the Afghan people and its readiness to provide its support during these difficult times. He instructed the OIC Office in Afghanistan to coordinate with the relevant authorities in assessing the needs and to work closely with the OIC’s humanitarian institutions and partners to deliver assistance to the affected population. – OIC News
