Kalapara UNO pledges to provide smart land services

Patuakhali: Land Service Week 2023 has started in Kalapara of Patuakhali with the theme 'Welcome to Smart Land Service' with the aim of providing 100% online land tax collection, registration and all necessary land services in digital mode. Kalapara UNO Md. Jahangir Hossain pledged to provide smart land services in a press conference on land service week at Press Club's Engineer Md. Tauhidur Rahman (CIP) auditorium today Monday (May 22) at 10 am.

Meanwhile, UNO Md. Jahangir Hossain, who is in additional charge of AC Land, said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the Ministry of Lands has taken the initiative to ensure smart land services to build a smart Bangladesh. From now on, all land services including land tax collection, registration errors, correction of application can be done 100% online. This press conference is to inform the public about this information and convey the message of a citizen's right to get land services.

He also said that with the aim of making land services more accessible to the common people, the Ministry of Lands has already digitalized several services by taking developmental activities. Notable among these are e-Namzari, online/digital land development tax, 16122 call center, land services through social media (www.facebook.com/land.gov.bd) and kiosks, digital survey, online application for land tenure, land data bank, mortgage data.
