Four Warehouses Linked to Salman Muqtadir’s In-Laws Sealed

Four warehouses owned by Sheikh Nur Islam, the father-in-law of content creator Salman Muqtadir, have been sealed following allegations of unauthorised storage of duty-free alcohol in Dhaka’s Gulshan.

The warehouses of Tos Bond Private Limited in South Gulshan were sealed during a joint raid late Thursday night, according to a statement from the National Board of Revenue (NBR).

The raid was conducted by the Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate, the Department of Narcotics Control and the Special Response Battalion.

According to the NBR, the company had approval to operate two warehouses, but inspectors found goods stored across four facilities.

Authorities said they found “serious discrepancies” during the inspection and sealed all four warehouses for further verification and investigation.

Tos Bond operates as a diplomatic bonded warehouse supplying duty-free alcohol to foreign diplomats.

Customs officials said an investigation had been underway for several months following allegations that duty-free products were being sold on the open market.

The authorities said the warehouses were sealed to prevent the removal or transfer of bonded goods from unauthorised locations and to facilitate a proper investigation.

According to sources, Sheikh Nur Islam, his wife Sheila Islam and their daughter Tasnim Islam are listed as directors of the bonded warehouse in intelligence documents.

Investigating agencies are also examining financial and corporate information concerning Nur Islam and his family in Canada, according to sources.
