Home Adviser Lt. Gen. Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury (Retd) today urged authorities to intensify efforts to ensure criminals face justice.

Addressing a workshop on "Implementing the Law Emphasizing Human Rights and the Environment in the Changing Situation of the Country" at the Bangladesh Police Auditorium in Rajarbagh, he called on law enforcement agencies to be more proactive, stating, "No criminal should escape during the Operation Devil Hunt."

The workshop, which aimed to strengthen legal frameworks in the country, was attended by judges from the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court, Metropolitan Magistrate (MM) Court, Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Court, District and Sessions Court, district magistrates, government lawyers, law enforcement officers, and intelligence agency members.

Jahangir emphasized the importance of vigilance in promoting good governance and maintaining law and order. "We must ensure that criminals are not allowed to roam freely in society. Every criminal must face trial," he said.
