“These acts of vandalism and violence undermine public safety and the rule of law,” a statement from the Chief Adviser's Press Wing condemned.
At least 49 people have been arrested in connection with the unrest, and two formal cases have been filed. Police have launched extensive investigations, with additional cases expected as more individuals are identified.
Law enforcement officials conducted overnight raids targeting the perpetrators and are actively reviewing video footage from the protests to track down those involved. These operations will continue until all individuals responsible for the violence and destruction are apprehended.
The interim government has called on the public to assist in the investigation by providing any relevant information.
“Together, we can ensure those who seek to disrupt our peace and stability are held accountable,” the statement concluded.
