‘Bangladesh Day' celebrated at Kolkata Book Fair

A two-day ‘Bangladesh Day' has been celebrated at the 45th Kolkata International Book Fair.



A two-day ‘Bangladesh Day' has been celebrated at the 45th Kolkata International Book Fair.

The celebration of ‘Bangladesh Day' was started on Thursday.

People from various walks of life, including writers, readers and publishers from West Bengal, have enthusiastically participated in the cultural programme, organised at the SBI Auditorium and several seminars on Bangabandhu, Liberation War and Bangladesh.

On the occasion of the Birth Centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the golden jubilee of Bangladesh's independence, various programmes were organised about Bangladesh in this year's book fair.

The 45th International Kolkata Book Fair been started from 28 February and will continue till 13 March of this year, with Bangladesh as the focal theme country for the fair this year.
