Ten eminent writers to receive Bangla Academy Literary Award

Dhaka, Jan 23 – Bangla Academy has announced the names of 10 eminent writers for ‘Bangla Academy Literary Award 2024’.
The academy’s public relations department announced the names of the awardees in ten categories for the year 2024 in a media statement today.
Playwright Syed Jamil Ahmed will receive Bangla Academy Literary Award for folklore, essayist Salimullah Khan for essays, Masud Khan for poetry, Selim Morshed for fiction, Shubhashish Sinha for drama and playwriting, Faruk Nawaz for children’s literature, GH Habib for translation, Mohammad Shahjahan Mia for research, Rezaur Rahman for science and Mohammad Hanan will receive for the Liberation War.
The academy has been awarding this prize regularly since 1960, five years after its establishment in 1955. – Source: BSS News
