Man hurt in Jessore ‘gunfight’ dies at DMCH

An alleged mugger, who was injured in a ‘gunfight’ with police in front of Badsha Faysal School in the Jessore district town on November 13, succumbed to his injuries at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Saturday night. The deceased was identified as Hafizur Rahman, son of Harun, a resident of Barandipara area of the town.
Reshma Sharmin, assistant superintendent of police, said Hafizur received injuries in a gunfight with police in front of Badsha Faysal School in the district town on November 13.
He was rushed to Jessore 250-bed Hospital. Later, he was shifted to DMCH where he died from his wounds on Saturday night. – UNB
