The chamber Judge of the Appellate Division on Wednesday stayed the bail of Mahmudul Alam Babu, the main accused in Jamalpur journalist Golam Rabbani Nadim murder case.
Justice M Enayetur Rahim passed the order and fixed November 20 for next hearing.
Earlier on Tuesday, an High Court bench of Justice Md Jahangir Hossain and Justice Mohammad Showkat Ali Chowdhury granted him a six-month the bail following a petition.
Nadim, who was the Jamalpur district correspondent of Banglanews24.com and also the Bakshiganj upazila correspondent of Ekattor TV, died on June 15, a day after reportedly being attacked by supporters of now-suspended Sadhurpara union parishad (UP) Mahmudul Alam Babu in the Pathati area of Bakshiganj upazila.
On June 17, Nadim's wife Monira Begum filed a case with Jamalpur's Bakshiganj Police Station against 47 people naming Mahmudul Alam Babu as the main accused.
So far, 16 people have been arrested in connection with the murder of journalist Nadim.
