BFUJ demands special incentive for journalists during pandemic

BFUJ, Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists demanded special incentives for the journalists due to price hike of essential commodities during the time of corona virus pandemic.

The Federal Executive Committee (FEC) of the BFUJ made the demand from a virtual meeting held on Saturday night chaired by its President Omar Faruque.

The meeting also elaborately discussed the proposed ‘Mass-Media Employees (conditions of service) Act’.

The leaders demanded immediate amendment and implementation of the recommendations of the 9th Wage Board, reports BSS.

BFUJ Secretary General Dip Azad moderated the meeting where former BFUJ president Manjurul Ahsan Bulbul, Vice Presidents Madhusudan Mondal, Mosharaf Hossain and Mahmudul Alam Noyon ,Treasurer Khairuzzaman Kamal, Joint Secretary Generals Sheikh Mamunur Rashid, Mohsin Kazi and Md Hedayet Hossain Molla ,Office Secretary Sebika Rani, executive member Ummul Wara Sweety and journalist leaders from different unions took part in the discussion.
