Engineer dies of alleged wrong treatment in Pabna

A young man with nasal polyp complications died while undergoing treatment at Pabna General Hospital .



A young man with nasal polyp complications died while undergoing treatment at Pabna General Hospital on Thursday night (December 8).

The deceased was known as Sirajul Islam, 30, son of late Atiar Rahman, hailed from Tilakpur village of Sahapur union under Ishwardi upazila of Pabna. The victim was a textile engineer at Ha-meem Group’s Spinning Mills.

Family sources said, Sirajul took medical advice from Pabna Medical College Hospital’s assistant professor Doctor Harun-ar-Rashid few days ago. Later, according to the doctor’s advice, he was admitted to a local clinic named Digital Diagnostic Center. But, after the surgery, his condition deteriorated.

Later, he died around 8:00pm. On information, police recovered the body.

Anesthesia doctor Shamsul Haque claimed that the patient was quite fit physically. After the operation, I also talked to him.

Pabna police super Akbar Ali Mushi said the body was sent to the morgue for autopsy. Details can be said after getting the report.
