Covid positivity rate in BD hits 13.25%, highest in 46 days

Dhaka, June 10 :  As Bangladesh continues its fight against the 2nd wave of coronavirus, it logged 2,576 more new cases with a positivity rate of 13.25 during the last 24 hours until Thursday morning.
The positivity rate jumped to 13.25 from Wednesday’s 12.33 percent, said a handout of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
This is the highest in 46 days since April 25 this year when the country reported a positivity rate above 13%.
Besides, 40 Covid-19 patients lost their lives during the period.
The fresh cases pushed up the total caseload to 8,20,395.
The death toll reached 12,989 with the latest figures, reports UNB.
