Senior journalist Giasuddin Ahmed dies

Senior journalist Giasuddin Ahmed has passed away due to a cardiac arrest.



Senior journalist Giasuddin Ahmed has passed away due to a cardiac arrest at the age of 70 (Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi Rajiun).
He breathed his last at the United Hospital in the capital at around 6:00 am on Thursday (June 9).
Mainul Alam, joint general secretary of the Jatiya Press Club and special correspondent at The Daily Ittefaq, confirmed his death.
Journalist Giasuddin Ahmed, who had experience in journalism for 40 years, retired from The Daily Ittefaq several years ago.
