Transport owners will sit with Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) on Saturday afternoon to discuss an adjustment of the fares in the light of the fuel price hike.
The meeting is scheduled to take place at 5pm, said Khandaker Enayetullah, general secretary of the Bangladesh Road Transport Owners Association.
Meanwhile, launch owners had a discussion among themselves this morning on adjustment of the fares. Launch Owners Association leader Siddikur Rahman Patwari said they would hold a meeting with the concerned authorities of the government soon.
