One killed in Hazaribagh courier service office explosion
A youth was killed in an explosion at a courier service office in Hazaribagh's Boubazar area in the city early Monday.
A youth was killed in an explosion at a courier service office in Hazaribagh's Boubazar area in the city early Monday.
The explosion occurred around 12:15am at a courier service office named 'Metro Express' when the workers were unloading the products.
Two persons--Alim, 40, and Deepak, 25-- were also burnt and were sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH). They are currently receiving treatment at the Sheikh Hasina Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute but their condition is crititcal.
The deceased was identified as Ilyas, 20.
Hazaribagh Police Station OC Muktaruzzaman said it was suspected that a drum containing chemical exploded. However, it is being investigated.
