3.5kg gold recovered from airport dustbin

Dhaka Customs Office has recovered 30 gold bars from a dustbin at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on Thursday.



Dhaka Customs Office has recovered 30 gold bars, weighing around 3.48 kilograms, from a dustbin at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on Thursday.
The estimated value of the gold is around Tk 3.5 crore.
On secret information, a team of the customs officials recovered the gold bars from the dustbin near Bay No. 12 of the airport at around 9:30am in an abandoned condition.
Nafisa Amin, preventive team officer of Dhaka Customs House, said the gold bars were wrapped with scotch tape. A legal action is being taken under custom law in this regard.
