`RAB ready to face any situation centering BNP rally`

The bomb disposal unit, special force, special dog squad and helicopter unit of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) are ready to face any situation centering the BNP’s December 10 rally in the capital.
RAB Legal and Media Wing Director Commander Khandaker Al Moin said this at a press briefing at its Karwanbazar Media Center on Monday noon.
He said the detective members of the RAB will work in plain clothes so that anyone cannot create violence.
He said a sufficient number of RAB members will be deployed, and RAB will beef up surveillance across the city to ensure overall security
Besides, for overall security, there will be foot and mobile patrol, vehicle scanners, observation posts and check posts. In the virtual world, the RAB’s cyber monitoring team will work to monitor online to prevent any kind of rumors, provocative information, and spreading false information, said Khandaker Al Moin.
