Police recovered the bodies of a couple from a ceiling fan of a house on the Titas Road in the capital’s East Rampura on Wednesday morning.

The deceased are Juel, 28, son of Azadur Khandakar in Kurigram, and his wife Nasrin, 22, hailing from Nikli of Kishoreganj.

Police and family suspect that they committed suicide due to the poverty.

Being informed, police recovered the bodies around 3.30am on Wednesday from a tin shed house and sent those to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for autopsy.

They married about three years and six month ago. They had a child who died about 9/10 months ago.

Nasrin was a housemaid but she had to leave her work due to fever. Juel was depressed because he lost his job. It is believed that they may have committed suicide due to these reasons, sources said
