Police official stabbed in Dhaka’s Khilkhet
The incident happened at 8:00 pm on Monday in the Kuratali area.
An assistant sub-inspector of police was injured when unidentified miscreants stabbed him in Dhaka Khilkhet.
The injured ASI Mofizul Islam (40) of Khilkhet Police Station has been admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for treatment. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of the police station, Kazi Shahan Haque, confirmed the matter.
The incident happened at 8:00 pm on Monday in the Kuratali area.
Mofizul, who was on duty at the 300 Feet checkpost, was returning to the police station, and on the day he was stabbed in the back by four to five unknown miscreants, said the OC.
He was taken to Kurmitola General Hospital with serious injuries. From there, he was brought to Dhaka Medical College Hospital at 9:45 pm for better treatment, he said.
The reason behind the stabbing will be known after an investigation, the police official also said.
