Fire breaks out at a multi-storied building at Baridhara

A fire broke out at a 6-storey building in the city's Baridhara J Block on Sunday afternoon.



Dhaka, Feb 23 :  A fire broke out at a 6-storey building in the city's Baridhara J Block on Sunday afternoon.

Sources at the Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD) headquarters said the fire started on the 4th floor of the building inside the showroom of  Vitra Furniters at around 4:24 pm.

Six fire fighting units rushed to the spot to control the fire, said Shahjahan Sikder, DAD (Media cell) of the FSCD.

What caused the fire was not immediately known, he said, reports UNB.
