Madrasha student drowns in Turag River



Dhaka, Jun 29 - A 13-year-old madrasha student drowned in river Turag  in the capital on Friday evening.

The deceased was identified as Md Yamin, son of Rabiul  Islam and a resident of the locality. 

According to locals, Yamin drowned when he was bathing in the River Turag.

Later, police recovered the body from the river and sent it to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) morgue for autopsy. 

Police confirmed the incident.

Abdul Matin, brother of the deceased, said, Yamin was a student at a nearby madrasa and the youngest among two brothers and a sister in the family.-UNB
