Drawing competition on The First Satellite in Space organized

Russian House in Dhaka, in cooperation with the Serov Academy of Arts of Bangladesh, organized a drawing competition, "The First Satellite in Space," on October 19.

The competition was dedicated to the 67th anniversary of the flight of the Soviet Union's Sputnik-1, the world's first artificial spacecraft, into outer space.

The Director of the Russian House in Dhaka, P. Dvoychenkov, told the guests about Sputnik-1, Russia's cosmonautics, and its impact on world progress.

The launch began a new era of technological and scientific development. The launch date of Sputnik-1 is the beginning of the space age of mankind, in Russia, it is annually celebrated as a memorable day of the Space Forces.

Students from various educational institutions in Dhaka took part in a drawing competition. In the final part of the event, the participants received commemorative certificates.
