Dhaka, 11 April - Bangladesh Table Tennis Federation (BTTF) has organized a nationwide open table tennis competition at the Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Indoor Stadium scheduled to be held from April 23-27.

The Bangladesh Table Tennis Federation (BTTF) has taken the initiative to colorfully celebrate the World Table Tennis Day on April 23 and the centenary of World Table Tennis at the same time.

The competition will feature individual and team events in two categories -- Under-13 (born after 2013) and Under-16 (born after 2010) for boys and girls.

All recognized educational institutions in the country will be able to register students with photo ID and copies of birth certificates by April 14.

Students can pay Taka 200 (per player) for individual game and Taka 2,000 (per team) for team event through the Federation's merchant bKash number 01919012883 payment option.

The name of the school should be briefly written in the reference. After registration, information will have to be filled in the Google Form https://bttf.org.bd/schooltt and have to send to the email address officials.bttf@gmail.com.

The BTTF general secretary captain MA Maksud Ahmed Sonnet said: "The main aim of this event is to create a competitive playing environment among students at the school level and to search for future national and international quality players."BSS
