Andaleeve Rahman becomes Information Minister

Bangladesh Jatiya Party (BJP) Chairman and Bhola-1 MP Barrister Andaleeve Rahman has been given the responsibility of the Information and Broadcasting Ministry.


On Friday (August 21) night, the Cabinet Division issued a notification allocating and redistributing the portfolios of the new ministers.

Earlier, the new President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir administered the oath to Andalib Rahman at Bangabhaban here on Friday evening. 

Later, he was given the responsibility of the Information and Broadcasting Ministry through a Cabinet Division's notification.

Meanwhile, Andaleeve Rahman took the oath as a minister for the first time.

He entered politics in 2000 with his father, Naziur Rahman Manzur's hands, and has been serving as the chairman of Bangladesh Jatiya Party (BJP) since his father's death in 2008. 

Andaleeve was elected as a member of parliament from Bhola-1 constituency in the 9th national elections of 2008 and later in the 2026 elections, reports BSS.
