Abahani to observe Sheikh Kamal's 73rd birth anniversary Friday

Dhaka, 3 Aug - Abahani Limited will observe the 73rd birth anniversary of its founder Shaheed Captain Sheikh Kamal, the eldest son of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, on August 5 through day-long programmes on its premises, said a press release.

The directors, officials and players of Abahani Club will pay tribute to Sheikh Kamal by placing wreaths on his portrait at the Club premises at 12.01 am (early Friday) they will also offer special prayers seeking eternal peace of the departed soul.

The programmes include day-long recitation from the holy Quran, a virtual discussion meeting on Sheikh Kamal's illustrious career at 4 pm and doa-mahfil at the club Bhaban after the Asr prayers maintaining social distancing due to Covid-19.
