Gold price increases to record Tk 84,331 a bhari

The price of gold by Tk 1,983 a bhari (11.66 grams) to a record Tk 84,331 a bhari with effect from Sunday (August 7).



Jewellers on Saturday raised the price of gold by Tk 1,983 a bhari (11.66 grams) to a record Tk 84,331 a bhari with effect from Sunday (August 7).
The Bangladesh Jewellers’ Samity in a press release said 22-carat gold will be sold at Tk 84,331 per bhori, 21-carat gold at Tk 80,482 per bhori and 18-karat gold at Tk 68,993.
The price of traditional gold has been set at Tk 56,979 per bhori, added the release.
However, the price of silver will remain unchanged at Tk1,516 per gram.
