Dhaka, Oct 7 - Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her younger sister Sheikh Rehana have gone to Tungipara by road from her official residence Ganabhaban.

They left Ganobhaban at 7:15am Friday according to a message from PM’s press wing.

On their way to Tungipara, they are likely to have a brief break at Jajira point's service area of Padma Bridge.

The prime minister opened the country's longest ever Padma multi-purpose bridge amid jubilation on June 25.

The PM and her sister Rehana are scheduled to leave Tungipara for Dhaka this afternoon.

Tungipara is their village home in Gopalganj district where their father Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the country's founding leader, was buried after his assassination on August 15 in 1975. - UNB
