Dhaka, June 9 :  A 51-year-old businessman was found dead at a hotel in the city’s Kamalapur area on Tuesday night, police said on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Tarun Kanti Sen, son of Amosh Chandra Sen of Chattogram district. He was the owner of a restaurant chain in Bangladesh.
Sub-inspector of Motijheel Police Station,  Sabuj Ali, said that Tarun checked into the hotel on May 7.
On Tuesday night, the hotel staff knocked on Tarun's door and informed police after getting no response from the room locked from inside.
A team from the local police station reached the spot and broke open the door and found him lying on the bed.
Tarun was immediately rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Police suspect that Tarun might have died of a cardiac arrest. "We are, however, waiting for the autopsy report," the official said, reports UNB.
