Two mothers give birth to 8 babies in Jamalpur

Two mothers gave birth to four babies each in the district on Thursday night.

Hospital sources said Dulena Begum,35, wife of a farmer Saju Miah gave birth four babies including a son normally at Jamalpur Genaral Hospital at 11 pm, reports BSS.

The baby son died during birth. Hailed from Porar Char village in Islampur upazila of the district the couple also blessed with five children earlier.

In another incident Anjuara Begum,22, wife of a carpenter-Ataur Rahman,23  gave four daughters at a private clinic through operation in the town. 

Assistant Director, Jamalpur General Hospital, Dr Md Mahfuzur Rahman said the underweight seven babies were admitted at neonatal service center at the hospital. The mothers are also in good condition, he added.
